B-ball
We have a family reunion this weekend and at the reunion we always play a game of baseball, boys vs girls....in the 100+ heat. This year I wanted to bring some baseball cookies and because the Mavs are the NBA champs I thought I would throw in some basketball cookies too!

Play Ball!!!!
In honor of baseball season starting up I made some baseball cookies. I guess I could have thrown in some basketballs for March madness....maybe next time. The majority of the cookies will go to my husbands office. I'm trying out different ways of icing the cookies. I'm trying to figure out the best way to get it smooth. I tried it a few different ways with this batch by thinning out the icing to different consistences. When it's a large surface area I spread the icing on. Though the thinnest version was the smoothest, I like it a little bit thicker and creamery. They would be cute for a birthday party or a team party.

Shamrocks and Gold
For St. Patrick's day I made my husband's office shamrock and gold coin cookies. I wish I would have had something to imprint the coin cookies with. I just used gold food coloring and gold sanding sugar. I like the green and gold together.

Mom Cookies
I'm in a Mom's group and we are having a "Mom's Night Out" event. I'm trying to find reasons to make cookies so that I can practice and then give them away for others to eat. I tried to make them coordinate with the logo. I had every intention of trying to be precise with them, but I was so tired while I was making them and was in a bit of a hurry.

Butterfly Cookies
I wanted to give filling cookies a shot so I made these butterfly cookies. I wasn't real happy with the turnout mostly because I only used two main colors. My son was napping and I was in a hurry to finish before he woke up, so I didn't mess with mixing up any more colors. But they would be really cute for a little girls birthday party.
Valentines Cookies
I'm going to keep a blog of all my sugar cookie attempts. My first attempt at really piping on cookies was with some valentines day cookies. It was a snow day so I made a few snowmen too. My husband is an accountant so I threw a few tax season theme cookies in there too.

2nd Birthday Cookies
We had a mickey party for my son so I made mickey ears, stars, and the number 2 cookies. The mickey cookies were huge so I only made a few of those. That's also what I used for party favors. I made each child their own cookie with their name on it. I made chocolate cake balls for the adults.
